Reneging BB

I recently received an offer from a separate industry (think F500/consulting), and am considering reneging my FT S&T offer at a BB. I was never keen on S&T due to decline in pay and limited exits, but accepted it because of the economy and the vastly reduced hiring across all industries that's made it so much harder to get an offer.

Anyone have experience with this in S&T and know what's most likely to happen? I did NOT get the S&T job via OCR, but did get the new offer from OCR. I won't post anything on LinkedIn. Would career services tell the BB where I was hired, if they even have access to that? Thanks

Hard to give exact details because as I'm sure you understand I don't want to give up too much. The role has solid b-school placement and exits into PM or strategy roles well. Pays nicely too.

As for S&T, having spent time there I know my role would be pretty narrow. I could go buyside after a couple years, but I just don't know if I want to be in the markets. I suppose I could get a MBA to switch, but I would still have no transferrable skills outside the markets.

Also important to note that I'm asking this question bc I have other interviews soon with MBB/T2 and FAANG. I'm not 100% sure I'd renege for the offer I just got but definitely would for upcoming companies.
