Resign in probation period

Will I get backlisted by Top 3 (jp/ms/gs) ibank if i resign from product control position during probation period ? I showed no no interest on that job, and Already got an boutique pe offer, is that worth resigning for the pe offer? Thanks

As long as you meet the requirement of the employment agreement, I think you should be fine. Specifically:
- Notice period
- Non-compete agreements
- Potentially returning the sign-on bonus if stated

 

How long have you been there? It's a little different if the probation period is 1 year versus 3 months

Either way of course the HR database will know if you have worked there before and left quickly. I doubt you will be blacklisted unless you are leaving like 2 months in and screwing people over. Make sure to return your signing bonus, follow notice period etc, if you ever want to come back to that bank

 

HR is required by law to keep records how long you worked there.
Many employers also carry out exit interviews or questionnaires to estimate why professionals resign.
