Return Offer Questionable
I am at a small MM bank that has been super cagey about return offers. Everytime the topic comes up the answer is they don’t know how many we’re taking and analysts have apparently told others to be prepared to shop around. I’ve received stellar feedback on my deals so far, had a great mid summer review (1 point of improvement, very minor and didn’t have anything to do w/ cultural fit / work product). Was told by same staffer in separate convo that I am “on track” but still that the offer rate is unknown.
Wtf do I do? Every senior has told me “not everyone is getting a return”. Seems like incessant fearmongering whereas at most banks it’s positioned as yours to lose. Should I be expecting a bloodbath? Thanks
