Rising Junior. Give my resume HELL, please.

Hey guys, about to dive head first into recruiting this semester, and I want to make sure my resume is looking sharp. Any advice/criticism welcome. Thank you in advance.

Also, what do you think about my current GPA & side note? Should I remove the GPA? Remove only the side note? I honestly would have had a higher GPA if I didn't work so much this year.

Best,

I would remove the side note probably, I don't think I have ever seen something like that so I wouldn't roll the dice there.

Is your major specific GPA better? If so you can drop what you have listed and add that.

Otherwise, I would probably drop it altogether. You have solid work experience which is really the main thing.

Presentation of it looks good. This is a personal thing but I like to indents the bullets a few spaces so it is not directly aligned left with everything else. I think it helps add depth to the resume rather than having it look like one large block. Your call though.

A lot of banks have minimum GPA requirements regardless of whether or not they are BB; however, with that being said, you have some really positive work experiences.

I'm at a regional BD so I can't speak for those who might review at BB firms but I don't think you would be excluded simply because of your GPA, at least not from most MM / regional firms.

With that being said, BB IB is extremely competitive, really about as competitive as I think it gets for a job out of undergrad. Many applicants will have equal work experience, or better, with 3.9, 4.0 GPAs.
