Rising Sophomore in Need of Guidance

Hi I am a rising sophomore at a target. Having spent the entire freshman spring looking and finally attaining a PE internship for this summer(2018), I have begun work only to realize I missed out on summer 2019 I-banking recruiting. What am I supposed to do now if my goal is an investment banking internship next summer? What firms still have positions open? Any help would be appreciated. Also, did I somehow start late? (I was a freshman wth)

I am in a similar position, rising sophomore at a semi-target with a PE internship this summer. From what I have attained on this website, the IB internships that have already finished their recruiting for summer 2019 are not open to rising juniors whatsoever unless you are a diversity candidate. The internships for rising junior diversity candidates are not done recruiting yet from what I understand if that applies to you. This summer I have been networking with boutique banks and most of them have not started their recruiting yet for next summer. I think those internships are the best opportunities sophomores are going to get for the most part. Like I said, I am in the same position as you, so I am not speaking from experience, but that is my understanding
