We have been playing around with AI with good results. Large amount of work can be reduced, but not eliminated. There might be a future for a small team that creates custom AI work for an investment bank team, maybe?

Predictive IB
Technology could have the advantage of predicting deal flow, different deal scenarios but also a partially automated execution of such a deal. Maybe there will be a function that can help advise clients on a variety of issues without having a full banking team on site.

IB could remove insularity
What do know about deals in Japan? Or China? Languages and different cultures can be a true deterrent when it comes to global deal-making. Technology could help us learn from foreign historic data and deals we couldn't understand before.
