Finance principles tend not to evolve THAT much over a short time period. If you already have the 1st edition, you should be fine. I would only by the 2nd if i didn't have the 1st.

Has anyone bought the Investment Banking 2nd edition text book? Did you buy the version with the models? I already have the older models, is it worth buying that version?

I just bought the 1st version and you CANNOT log in to access the online excel templates because thats exclusive for the new 2nd edition owners. Bogus, I must say. Luckily, the book didn't arrive in "acceptable" edition as the amazon retailer claimed it was (pages were falling out), so I am returning it. They are selling the second edition for $50-60 NEW on amazon, vs $95 on the Wiley website, so I'm picking it up for just a few bucks more. I'd say, if you want to reference the templates as a reference for education and work purposes, just sell the book and get a new edition. Good luck.

I actually bought the second edition. It's not that different except for all the "a good place to find research is on the Bloomberg terminal". I haven't had a chance to look at the excel models yet. You could easily find the 1 edition online.

I have the second edition and it is amazing. I don't have the first, so I don't know what it is like. You get all the information 2x in this book so it is a great learning tool.

Hi guys, If someone has the first edition model I would like to buy them as they are no longer avaiable on the website. Thanks !
