Rosenbaums LBO Analysis

Has anyone read Rosenbaum and Pearl and can recommend on how to study the LBO Analysis chaper (Ch. 5)? Would it be an advisable approach to try to be able to build a complete model from scratch or is it more like one should understand how the different parts are interlinked?

I think if you're planning on doing PE recruiting you should be able to build a model like this from scratch but there's probably better (simpler) models out there. If you're doing IB recruiting you just need to know the steps and drivers and how they interact. From my understanding, it's pretty rare to even build a complicated LBO model in banking. Mostly you just build a shitty templated LBO model for the pitch. Unless you're in Lev. Fin.

Thanks!

Can you recommend a resource that covers it sufficiently? You mentioned that one rarely builds these models in banking. Some friend, who might just don’t know what he’s talking about, told me it would be absolutely essential in banking as one has to determine what a financial sponsor would be willing to pay. You can’t confirm that view, can you?
