Rothschild - Leeds, Manchester & Birmingham

Asides from the London IB office—are the IB offices in those aforementioned locations different in their practice? Does the location one interns in make any practical difference for deals & career? Why are there separate openings for all these anyway (unheard of for any other banks)?!

From what I recall smaller offices only have certain teams, so you might be more pigeonholed if applying to say Birmingham.

Could be a good way to slide in but you’d probably struggle to quickly transfer back to London (and the recruitment process might pick up on your scheme).

Applying to a regional office (as one might imagine it’s less competitive) to then transfer back to London after a year.

What types of teams have you heard about in regional offices? Wondering how pay / work may differ to London offices. Imaginably a regional office might limit exit opps to smaller local PE firms for example (unlike bigger PE or HF in London), but you might be able to save a little more at the start of a career comparatively.
