Rothschild - London Energy & Power

Does anybody have any info on Rothschild Energy & Power team? I’ve seen a few threads but content has been limited and outdated. Curious to learn any insights on culture, comp, deal flow and reputation.

For 2018-2020

Barclays did 25 deals in Europe for E&P M&A worth ~17bn usd

Rothschild did 74 deals for E&P M&A worth ~98.5bn

not sure where you’re getting your stats from but clearly not true

You can do Oil and gas and Power/renewables. Very strong/best in class in North Sea and Gulf asset transactions in both segments, with a large amount of mandates in North Sea Offshore Wind for example. Also top notch in Nuclear (a bit o a niche). Normally will not have a lot of exposure to large ticket buy side corporate / public M&A, but might secure some sell sides and shareholder advice in those segments -  A lot of large Continental Europe deals are however run from Paris, with london more focused in UK / North Sea / CEE and Arabic Gulf. Good team if you want to do infra/energy deals in the future for example
