I don't know if it's grounds for rescinding the offer, but it is out of your hands now anyway. Why did you round that way, besides the obvious attempt to hide your low GPA?
why would you round up that much?
Bad call to round that much... but I also doubt that it will lead to the offer being rescinded.
Here's another hypothetical question. What if you never disclose on your resume that you are a transfer student? You list the new school and the new cumulative GPA only and go through interviews without mentioning the transfer if unasked. Can you get an offer rescinded this way?
Keep in mind that the transferred school is on the transcript being submitted with the resume.
No, that is not something you have to worry about, the rounding in your first post though is another story. I dont know if they will rescind your offer but they will definitely think twice about why you rounded that way. Just as an aside how did you apply (Im impressed that you got an BB offer with a 3.1)?
Analysts have brought it up to me that it may be misleading so I'm getting conflicted answers. Also, OP is the one who rounded GPAs. I'm just a thread jacker
Doubt they would go through the trouble to rescind your offer and go to someone else in the queue and wait for their response, etc. over a .08 difference. That being said, they totally have the right to and if they did rescind on those grounds you'd have no reason to complain, because that's more or less misrepresenting your credentials.
I think you need to learn how to round. If it gets rescinded, don't be too surprised, although like BH said, I doubt they will at this point.
Appreciate the input.
I'm in the same rounding situation with my resume as well. Any update?
