RX for BB
With the increase in rx and distress in the industry are BB trying to increase their share in the distress market by trying to do rx deals? IK most bb can't do rx due to their balance sheet but if they do not own any of the firm's debt, will they be able to advise for some of the firms or help out their clients in distress in other ways (if so what?)? I know they can do dip + additional financing but I have also seen some BB groups have a rx team that say they do select rx advisory. If so are they able to increase rx deal flow or does it all mainly go to the eb? If anyone has any insights or works in a group like this some info would be appreciated. Thanks.
it’s not only a matter of financing in place, they are in conflict on many angles. Gs and MS tried for a bit
