RX scene in London/Europe
Hello everyone,
I am finishing my first year at a UK non-target and I am interested in restructuring. I have been able to find a lot of information on the US RX scene, but very little updated info on the RX scene here in London and in Europe in general.
I was hoping someone could shed some light on:
-what are the best RX banks?
-how do these compare in terms of comps/culture/a2a or exit opp?
-do any of these banks allow to internally transfer to the US?
Thank you!
Head down to the Golden Lion pub (King Street in Mayfair) on a Friday night and you will probably bump into a few HL guys blowing off some steam and having a few drinks. That used to be one of the main watering holes when I was working in Mayfair. The impression I got from the HL guys was that (i) work hours are long - to be expected in RX, but that (ii) they know how to have fun and party, and (ii) the senior guys were supportive of exiting to the buy-side and provided references and time to attend interviews. Given that HL represents a lot of creditor groups it's in their interest to have former analysts moving to their clients.
