Depends:

If it's a phone interview (i.e. Hong kong), it can take anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks depending on the timing of your interview (they spread it over the course of a month or so)

If it's an OCR, you're pretty much guaranteed to hear back within a day, or two at most. NY banks are very aggressive and efficient in that if they want you for final rounds and even extending offers, they let you know right away (e.g. the evening after your interview)

If your first round was on campus (from my experience), they call you back on the same day or the next day.

-------------------------------------------------- "Whenever I'm about to do something, I think, 'Would an idiot do that?' And if they would, I do NOT do that thing." -Dwight Schrute, "The Office"-

If an interviewer replies to a thank you email a couple hours after OCR interviews, but makes no mention of next steps/moving on, should I assume I got dinged?

In my experience, smaller firms generally tend to turn around decisions more slowly (sometimes up to 3 days). Additionally, if you are interviewing for a regional office and have your name submitted to the headquarters, you can expect a delay (~5 days). Other than that, a couple hours to 2 days is usual turnaround on Super Day invitations.

"For all the tribulations in our lives, for all the troubles that remain in the world, the decline of violence is an accomplishment we can savor, and an impetus to cherish the forces of civilization and enlightenment that made it possible."

I never did any interviews off-campus, so I heard back in a day, usually an hour after the interviewers had interviewed everyone.
