SA 2020: Stuck in a foreign country

Question

Hey everyone. I was supposed to join a BB in NYC as an IB SA this summer, and my bank has recently announced that our program was moved online. I am an international student though and got stuck back in my home country (not the US), as my college didn't allow me to stay on campus due to the pandemic. 
My country is currently under very strict quarantine, with literally no options to leave until at least June (though quarantine will likely be extended until September due to how bad it is here). 
Is anybody else in a similar position?

An update for you all: due to the pandemic, USCIS has actually allowed international students to use their CPTs for remote internships even while being abroad (https://www.ice.gov/doclib/coronavirus/covid19faq.pdf - proof).

Fulfill all your duties and finish your assignment. The time difference might be the only challenge, but I am assuming you can deal with this.

Nobody knows when each of the countries will lift the travel/gov bans
On top of that, you will also need to find an airline that services the correct routes and has the flights
Depending on where you are traveling from you may end up with test procedures and/or quarantine
What did you school say regarding dorm usage? Internationals are normally allowed to stay in the dorms. Did they actually ask you to vacate and go back to your home country?

In that case you are right - just wait and see.
This is a unique and complex situation where things do change by the hour. 
Without a visa and no clear documentation, no flights and no destination airports... there isn't much you can do at this point.

I would stay close to your employer and see what they have to say. Maybe they can just issue you a O365 login and you can start online if this situation is still around when your date comes up.

The borders WILL open at some point. To the US and the EU.
