SA 2021 VIRTUAL??

Does everybody on here actually think that 2021 summer internships will be in person? At this point I feel like it's a 50/50 shot. Even if we manage to produce a vaccine that works in December or January, it'll take months before they are distributed and everyone is inoculated. What are other people's thoughts on this?

the people who blindly believe this are the same idiots who said “oh covid is so overblown we’ll be over this in three months” back in March...plan for the worst (WFH) and hope for a happy surprise come mid year 2021.

The way that America has politicized the basic tool to get us back to normal (universal mask wearing), I highly doubt a significant part of the population will even be willing to take a vaccine if it were to come out early next year. Part of the vaccine nerves I get, but it’ll only prolong this quasi locked down state.
