SA Hirevue JP Morgan 2019

Hey!

yes ... again a hirevue topic. I applied for a SA internship at JPM IB for summer 2019 and I´m a bit nervous before the hirevue interview (maybe because I´m not a native english speaker).

Anyway, I read on some FT IB hirevue threads that they received few technical question - should I excpect them on the SA hirevue as well? I have a very well understanding of the financial markets and can explain you everything what´s currently going on around the globe BUT I don´t know detailed IB working processes yet and never learned them in Uni so far... I want the internship to learn about all that stuff.

If I should already know much about that, have you some material where I can prepare for the technical parts?

Would be very very nice!

Greetings from Europe

Basic knowledge about financial markets and corporate finance will be enough for you to answer the technical questions.

Just do the Hirevue. The longer you wait, the worse your chance of proceeding to the next round, remember IB recruit on rolling basis.

I did SG IBD. Not sure it's the same with HK or not. Anw, as I have talked with others doing Hirevue for JPM SG IBD, we got different sets of Qs. But all get 2 behaviorals + 1 technical. One attempt to record.

Questions:

Why would you be a good analyst at JPM?

When did you work in a successfull team at what were your tasks?

When was the last time you solved a complex problem and how did you solved it?

It went pretty well but I f*d up on the first question :( Not because it was difficult I was just nervous the first 30 seconds to 1 minute and therefore I really didn´t answer in a good way. Second question I was less nervous, third question really confident and well speaking.

We will see

it was for London.. I wouldn´t stress myself too much with what the EXACT questions are. The style of the behavioural question is pretty much the same all the time.

Just prepare some stories, have a certain gameplan structured for the questions and I think you are good.
