SA offer at DB?

Got an offer from DB recently (unsure of group yet), and contemplating whether or not to go through with it. Liked the people and it's obviously a great BB firm, but just wanted to know the perception of DB and the bank going forward. How are PE exit opps and comp?

What are your alternatives? DB has pockets of strength but the past couple years have seen an enormous amount of turnover, low/no bonuses, and a culture that is deeply resistant to change. Those things probably won' affect you as a summer, but they're worth considering.

As with everything, it is about your alternatives. If you have interviews coming up with top EBs and American BBs then maybe consider holding off. If your interviews are with MM shops or other foreign BBs, then DB is still a solid bank. You can place well coming from the stronger groups at DB and their culture is pretty amazing and very laid back.

That being said, they're in a rough patch. Going to be hard to recoup the lost market share, talent, etc. Thankfully for them, it doesn't look like any more regulatory or legal barriers at least for now. But be cognizant that it's a firm who is struggling right now and trying to regain its footing.
