SA Recruitment -- Should I be worried?

Does anyone know what's going on with SA recruitment -- particularly at UBS -- this year given the difficult situation they're in? There's all sorts of rumors flying around, and it doesn't sound too good.

Are they still going to select interns? And are people still interested in this opportunity even though people don't know what's going to happen to the investment bank?

The numbers are definately down, but some* offers have been given out.

*We'll have to wait and see just how many of those will get rescinded.

Do you think SA offers could be rescinded from other banks as well? And for people who have accepted an offer right now, does that mean they should continue to look for more opportunities just in case?

Regardless of what they do with their IB, such as sell it to another bank, it won't happen for a long time, because no one is in the position to buy it right now. The Swiss take a lot of pride in their banking system, so I wouldn't expect to see them going anywhere, anytime soon. That said, they are still offering SA positions for IBD and S&T, but their recruiting may already be over. Realize that they and all the other BB's are in a tough spot right now and are therefore taking much smaller SA classes this year.
