Sample Valuation Project Request
Hi guys,
i am a senior going through the process of FT interviews with boutiques right now.
I recently had an informational interview and followed up for next steps. As part of the next steps i will be meeting with another member at the bank and they also asked me to provide them with a sample of a valuation or security evaluation project from school.
I have a corporate valuation project I did in one class, but it isn't too complex. It does go through the process of forecasting out FCFs from income statement and balance sheets and other drivers and assumptions. it also goes through the process of calculating WACC and discounting the cash flows back to find the NPV of the imaginary corporation. So it isn't too complex like the work investment banks would do but i feel like most classes in college don't get that complex anyway.
I have done complex valuation models at an ibanking bootcamp, but i wasn't allowed to keep those models.
so my question is: is it okay to send my example over even though it isn't as comlex as an ibank would do, or would they expect something more and i should come up with something else?
thanks for any input
