Santander CIB 2026 SA

Been receiving loads of messages from people who applied to Santander who are still waiting. Was curious whether anyone had heard back yet? I applied to the London office for M&A and had my interview 3 weeks ago on the 13th.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, it's not uncommon for banks, including Santander CIB, to take several weeks to respond after interviews, especially during peak recruitment seasons. Some firms may take up to a month or more to finalize decisions, depending on the volume of applications and internal processes.

For your case, since it's been three weeks since your interview, it might still be within their typical response window. However, if you're feeling anxious, it’s perfectly acceptable to send a polite follow-up email to the recruiter or HR contact you’ve been in touch with. Keep it professional and express your continued interest in the role.

If others are also waiting, it could indicate that decisions are still being processed, so hang tight! Recruitment timelines can vary significantly across firms and even within different teams at the same bank.
