Santander NYC IBD Intern Experiences? (Hours, Group Selection, Culture etc.)

Would be interested to hear more about Santander SA Experience as there is not much online about the actual intern experience through the research I have done.

Thanks!

Group selection is done in the spring before the internship. Each team will do a virtual presentation to the incoming SAs, and then the SAs will have ~a week to set up one on ones with people on the teams. After that, each SA will rank the teams they want to join and each team will rank the SAs they want. HR runs a matching process to place SAs to teams.

Won't speak to hours or culture because that's group dependent, but best groups for experience are probably the ones that are heavier legacy CS since they're more likely to have a decent deal pipeline and strong relationships already. Teams with newer MDs might spend more time pitching / introducing Santander to clients since they're unfamiliar with the overall bank even if the MD already had a relationship with the client.

There's a handful of intern events for all interns spread across the summer, and each group should have a few of their own events as well.
