So I know that Facebook just filed their IPO paperwork, and the offering is "expected to be completed in May." This would mean that SAs at MS/JPM/GS in TMT groups wouldn't have any exposure to the deal, assuming a June start date, right? Or is there typically follow-up work/other aspects of the deal that will extend until the summer?

I wouldn't count on being thrown on a live deal immediately upon starting your SA gig. Maybe things are different there though.
Guess regular analysts would go bonkers if an SA grabbed their spot on a Facebook live deal :D
There won't be much follow-up work for the banks. If a summer analyst is lucky, they might get to place the order for the deal toys... but unlikely.
