SAT scores for BB?
hi, I'm a senior in highschool. I was just wondering what SAT would be acceptable for banks like BAML, MS, GS, JPM, and CS since I hear they ask for SATs on job applications?

doesn't matter as long as you don't have temperature iq
I would not stress it too much. SATs are not nearly as important of a factor as GPA and internship experience. Most of my friends who are in banking now have never included SAT on their resumes. I’ve never personally heard of a minimum SAT threshold.
I will say though, if you are coming from a non-target a high SAT score can definitely help to establish legitimacy as a candidate. In my experience, my SAT score helped bring me on more equal footing when being compared to targets, since it gave banks an objective quantitative data point to compare me with more pedigreed candidates.
In short, if you have a good one, it’ll help you, if you don’t have a good one but your other areas are strong, you’ll be fine.
id probably be coming from Bucknell or Fordham both non/low semi-targets. Im just wondering if 1460 is good enough
I'm not sure, you might want to figure out what score that is equivalent to on the ASVAB, as I've heard the increased military presence on the street is really pushing for them to screen candidates purely on that.
Let me clear everything up for you; no, a 1460 is not good enough. Please give up on pursuing a career in finance. I know the Starbucks that I frequent is currently looking for a cashier, PM me for details.
They do not care about your SAT score. I didn't even take it, I took the ACT, and have never been asked about either. They care about college GPA.
But more importantly, spending your time networking is more important than any number.
Yeah - I had two BB internships no one asked for my SAT score. I hear that sometimes hedge funds and such will look at those scores but I can't confirm that.
I had my act score on my resume to show I wasn't dumb, coming from a non target. I had a 35 but I think anything above a 32 would be fine

Applying from a non-target, I got a few questions about my SAT score, specifically my math score. My score is >700 and it did not raise red flags.
yea I got exactly a 700 on my SAT math, I am probably going to retake it just to try and bump it a few points since it can't hurt. Thanks for the help though really appreciate it
never took the SAT but got 35 on ACT math. does that work?
Median SAT score for target schools would be good enough: 1500+. Your score is around 25 percentile, slightly lower than your target counterparts, but it's still fine.
