Based on the most helpful WSO content, there are mentions of primers like Morgan Stanley's "Biotechnology: 2020 Outlook: Still A Stockpickers' World, but Macro Pressures Receding." This specific primer was highlighted as a valuable resource for biotech research, particularly focusing on life sciences, biologics, immunotherapy, gene therapy, and oncology.

If you're looking for similar primers from bulge brackets (BBs), you might want to explore WSO threads or reach out to members who have shared or discussed such resources in the past. Unfortunately, I cannot provide direct copies or links to these primers.

I'd try to get the PDF or kindle versions of Pharmagellen's “Guide to Analyzing Biotech Clinical Trials” and “Guide to Biotech Forecasting and Valuation” if you need a primer on getting up to speed about valuation and technicals.

Assuming you're a student, try to use the Bloomberg terminals that your school might have or check to see if they provide you with access to PitchBook / FactSet / CapIQ (i think the education version is called S&P NetAdvantage), they should usually have some equity research reports on their. don't be shocked if there's a $ price next to the reports, most of these data providers operate on a credits-based system so the price you see is not the price the school will likely pay. Some of these equity research reports will have primers on a specific TA or broad coverage initiations which should be helpful.

Try to also see if you're school provides you with access to statnews.com or endpoints.news, both are terrific biotech sites. if your school doesn't then try to sign up for a free trial or the student plan if they have one.

Also ChatGPT is a tremendous resource believe it or not.

Best of luck to you!
