Scenario: if the banks were not bailed out.....

Imagination time.

If hypothetically the banks were not bailed out and the financial system was allowed to collapse...

What do you think the widespread consequences would have been?

The more detailed / funny the answers the better

I would currently be bagging groceries along side my high school's varsity football players.

Under my tutelage, you will grow from boys to men. From men into gladiators. And from gladiators into SWANSONS.

Assuming there were any grocery stores left.

Harsh generalization, man. What did they do to you:

1) kick your ass 2) steal your gf 3) make you do their homework 4) all of the above

Not all football players are neanderthal mongoloids whose only redeemable qualities are running fast and hitting people really hard. Some of us have feelings just like you Star Wars worshipping nerds who wouldn't know what to do with some snatch if it was sitting on your face.

Thanks for that, I always appreciate the guys who go out of their way to make sure harsh generalizations and blind categorizations don't go unpunished...

I would like to extend an apology to all those who I may have offended. I do not subscribe to those beliefs and was simply trying to make a point that generalizations can be made about anyone, and perhaps I took it a bit far.

I also apologize. I sometimes come home after stressful day at work, slightly tired from drinking afterwards, and say things that are often 80% not serious.

Being fucked with relentlessly in grammar school and the first year of high school made me very motivated to become their boss. In a really fucked up sort of way: thank you. I have seniority over a former football player at my current job, and it feels really.fucking.good.

As far as reconcillation goes: your type can kiss my ass. I still bartend in my hometown, and the biggest thrill is pouring drinks for the people that turned my life into an unrelenting hell growing up. Every bartender knows a lot of scumbags, and I take special pleasure in turning loose some of my 'new friends' upon those that still think they're going to kick me around: sometimes that small, shy, friendly kid grows up to be a sadistic asshole who doesn't want to be friends, they just want revenge.

Suck it.

I played football and loved the shit out of Star Wars. I'd ask you if you had a bad feeling about this and then kick your ass.

The larger banks would start restructuring the terms of the loans to 60 year mortgages and everything would be fine and no bailout wouldve been needed.
