Screwed Myself

Background: Sophomore at a non-target. Finance internship last summer.

I screwed myself this summer. I thought I could secure an offer from a boutique I was talking to but it didn't pan out. While waiting to hear back from the boutique I turned down every single offer I had for this summer. I've been cold emailing all of the boutique in the area but I'm not getting results. At best, they tell me to contact them later regarding next summer.

Realistically, do I have a chance to pull an offer this summer or am I fucked? I would literally settle for anything including unpaid.

Network, network, network, but at this point if you can't secure an IB internship for the summer, try to aim for positions where you'll gain some relevant experience. If you're gunning for a specific industry, try to intern with a company within the industry (ex.: if you want to get into Tech IB, then try to get an internship at a tech company, you get the idea). Good luck with your efforts, hope it works out!
