Semi-Target Seeking Honest Opinion
Hello all, first-time poster here. I am currently a senior at a semi-target school with a 3.75 GPA. I have previous internship experience in PWM at a BB and also at a boutique PE firm. I am currently on track to start a 2-year rotational asset management program at an F-100 company when I graduate. My rotations will include the PE co-investments desk, real estate private equity, commercial real estate debt, and high-yield debt.
Do you think this background will make it possible to break into traditional PE/ REPE eventually? Obviously, I know the majority of candidates come from banking backgrounds but I was wondering if it would be possible (if say I get an MBA) after this program. Any insight you could offer me would be greatly appreciated!
