Sending non-internal materials to personal email?
It has been covered multiple times on this site that sending internal materials— pitchbooks, models, etc— from your work email to your personal email is very risky. The company is always watching and it seems likely they’ll be able to spot that. But what about non-internal materials? For example, let’s say I want to send a report I downloaded from CapIQ to my personal email address for my own personal use, completely unrelated to work. Or I get daily emails from an expensive subscription service and i set up autoforward to my other email address. Is there anything wrong with that? Any way it could go awry ?
Probably not worth the compliance headache imo. I wouldn’t
