SEO-U is the program you do as a freshman and through the summer after freshman year. It isn't an internship program but it is aimed at rising sophomores (or juniors) and is supposed to get you ready to apply to SEO the next year.

SEO does take sophomore interns (summer before junior year), but they don't take freshman interns.

you can get in but you nee to be prepare to answer virtually everything: general-type, motivational, math/ logical, case studies.. Just be prepared and be excellent for the interviews! good is not enough

no Perella!

of course you have to be from minorities.. but you should be damn good! seo interns have to go through tough procedures before getting in. As tough as other interns.. so my advice is to get ready because there's much to do if you want to go th" as a sophomore

I can tell you from experience that the procedures and interviews are certainly difficult. I prepared with interview question guides, going through Wall Street Prep and DealMaven again for a refresher, and speaking with upperclassmen who had interviewed and successfully received SA positions at Goldman Sachs, Sagent Advisors, Macquarie, and Lazard. It definitely was a large part of my success throughout the process, so make sure you are ready and at your best. GL!

torontonianwhat happens if you get into SEO-Corporate Finance as a sophomore, do they place you into one of the BB rotational programs?

They give you an internship with one of the investment banks that participate in their program. Not all of them are BB's though. Has anyone in Boston who's done applied before October 1 on the accelerated track heard back yet? I know a couple of people in asset management that have gotten it, but nobody in IBD.
