Series 79

For those of you who have passed the 79, which sections should I emphasize & which ones did you not see many questions on? I am using knopman marks to study and just hit the books to take the exam in the next couple months.

Any tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The test is broad so you will need to be proficient in all topics but the focus should be on Fairness Opinions, Research Rules/compliance, Exempt transactions, and SEC filing forms. Also know your Tender Offer stuff.

There are a few threads on here you can find regarding the 79 and what to focus on. KM is great and if you follow it, you should be fine. Just be aware, the actual test is night and day different than KM questions. Much, much, longer and much more vague. If i could do it over again, I would probably stop focusing on the Qbank after 800-1000 questions and focus more on your notes and key concepts.

My advice would be, do the videos first on 1.5x speed, take good notes. re-read them every morning/night and get to the questions, practice tests, and diagnostics, etc.

good luck!
