Series 79

Take series 79 on Monday. Been studying w knopman marks. On individual chapter exams been scoring 70-85%. However on all final benchmark exams (comprehensive) I’ve been scoring in the 60s.

Kinda freaking out - anyone have a similar experience and have any last minute advice? Heard Knopman is more difficult than the actual exam, but still those scores didn’t boost my confidence

Based on the most helpful WSO content, it's common for candidates to feel nervous when their benchmark scores are in the 60s, especially with Knopman Marks materials. Here's some advice to help you prepare for Monday:

  1. Knopman Marks Difficulty: Many users have noted that Knopman Marks exams are intentionally more challenging than the actual Series 79 exam. Scoring in the 60s on their benchmarks doesn't necessarily mean you're unprepared. The actual exam tends to focus on broader concepts rather than the hyper-specific details Knopman emphasizes.

  2. Focus on Weak Areas: Review the sections where you're consistently scoring lower. Allocate your remaining study time to these areas, ensuring you understand the key concepts and can rationalize your answer choices.

  3. Practice Questions: Prioritize doing more practice questions, especially from the QBank. Many users recommend focusing on heavily tested chapters and taking 30-question sets after reviewing each chapter to reinforce your understanding.

  4. Answer Choices: Pay close attention to the wording of answer choices. The Series 79 exam often includes similar-sounding options with subtle differences. Practicing this skill can help you avoid traps.

  5. Confidence Boost: Remind yourself that Knopman exams are designed to over-prepare you. If you're scoring in the 70-85% range on chapter exams, you're likely in a good position for the actual test.

  6. Rest and Relaxation: Don't underestimate the importance of rest. Take Sunday to relax, review high-level concepts, and ensure you're mentally prepared for Monday.

Good luck—you've got this!
