Share repurchase effect on balance sheet?
I couldn't find this online. I know that share buybacks decrease cash on the asset side, and also shareholder's equity. However, what exactly from the shareholder's equity is changed (ex. retained earnings)?
treasury shares, it's a contra account under equity just like accumulated depreciation for pp&E
