Should I do this?
Would it be better to be a marketing intern at a large supply chain/asset marketplace(unpaid) or self teach myself finance/CS? I don't have any prior "real" business experience, but the internship focuses more on sales/marketing so do you think it would be worth doing? I'm a rising freshman.
bump
Self taught code generally looks like a bowl of spaghetti.
True, but it's mainly to prepare myself for the CS and finance classes I'll take next year.
Thats so nerdy/pathetic, the classes will prepare you for the classes, take the work experience.
child out boy, just do things you love
Do the internship... Wtf
Even if it's more of a sales/marketing job rather than finance oriented?
yes, there will be translatable skills and you should be able to spin it to get a finance internship next summer.
Do the internship. Just craft it into your story and getting anything as a rising freshman is impressive enough.
