Should I give up? Let go after 1 year.
Using throwaway account, basically I have been at a fof for a little over a year investment management firm. Not a good experience. I didn't really learn much they basically lied about the job and it ended up being mostly operations, didnt learn any modeling obviously. The lady who left is who I replaced and she basically regretted leaving and she was there for like 10 years so they hired her back and fired me shortly after gave me no notice in advance. I was planning to recruit for banking roles like ecm / dcm, but now I feel like I have no shot. Been thinking about making the switch to tech as I dont know if ill be able to land a new job in finance. I had been networking recently for banking, should I even bother trying? I have a good resume and I interview very well but I feel like I got f#cked.
I earned my undergrad from a top target

If you’re unemployed just apply to everything. Banking, tech, more FoF, co-invest, secondaries, etc.
Not great that you didn’t model at all but some non-ib roles won’t care about that as much.
