should I rsvp Lazard's houston sophomore women's event?

Hi, sophomore interested in IB and from target school here. for some background, recently got invited to Lazard's Houston sophomore women's event (which is epic not going to lie). however, a little torn because I have pretty much no interest in the Houston office and am more interested in their SF and NY offices. (also I'm p sure Lazard told us to only apply to one event, but I didn't see that because it's in 12 point font on the 3rd page of the flyer they passed around...)

if I go, will I automatically be taken out of consideration for the office events that I care more about? or should I give Houston a shot since the only reason I don't like the Houston office is because industrials doesn't really appeal to me and as someone from a cold climate, Texas in the summer genuinely scares me lmao

First off congrats! From my experience, the EB recruiting processes for these diversity events are run independently of each other, meaning attending an event at once office doesn’t lock you in to recruiting at that office alone. I don’t think it would hurt to go to the Houston event and recruit later for NY or SF. You could even use that experience in your later interviews to talk about how it convinced you that Lazard has a strong culture, leadership, values, etc etc. Just be mindful that sometimes a few people from these diversity events are asked to interview for SA positions immediately following the event. In that case, you should be ready to express your interest for other offices

congrats! recently went to on-campus events for multiple offices and recruiters said you can apply/participate in multiple programs, and you'll be asked to choose which interview you want to do if you get more than one
