Should I update resume for accepted off cycle internship when recruiting for FT?

Hi all,

I am a rising senior and recently accepted an off-cycle internship with a northeast regional boutique for this fall, and am currently interviewing for FT positions at larger banks starting next year. Does it look bad to update my resume to show that I will be interning in the future in IB and send it to the HR of who I am currently recruiting with to showcase that I will have more experience?

I've read some forums, and it seems to be 50/50 on whether I should do it. My rationale is that since I am interviewing for FT roles, they would like to see that I have more IB experience under my belt.

Would love some advice as to if I should update the resume or just bring it up that I have accepted an internship offer in the interview.

I graduate in spring 26. Only have 1 semester left, so I'm taking a gap semester in the fall to do the internship.
