Side Hustle in IB?

Given the current Covid situation and more time spent at home due to remote working, I thought about starting a side hustle to develop new skills and some recurring passive income.

Do you guys have any side hustles while working fulltime in a FO IB role and if so what are you up to?

Also are you contractually allowed to have additional income streams on the side or operate a small business while in your role?

For reference, my contract has the below paragraph:

„During your employment with the company you agree that you will neither engage in any activities which would detract from the proper performance of your duties under this Agreement, nor (without the prior written consent of the Company) in any capacity including as director, shareholder, principal, consultant, agent, partner or employee engage or be concerned or interested directly or indirectly in any other trade, business or occupation whatsoever“

Could there be any repercussions, eg if I would promote the business via my LinkedIn or similar?

Interested in your views and experiences!
