Solomon partners vs. piper Sandler for junior summer internship?
Trying to make a decision about junior summer internship. Any advice/insight on comp/exit opps/dealflow appreciated; which would leave me in a better position long term?
For context -- I see myself either staying in banking or trying to exit to something entertainment related/maybe tech more than I imagine a PE exit for myself. Solomon has everything in their NYC office, but Piper I would probably end up in Healthcare or another strong group that's less of what I'm interested in. Prorated salary is same, but who has better bonuses?
From what I have heard, PJ Solomon has a very worker friendly culture (Hours are low compared to street peers) . It's a place where bankers tend to settle in and make careers. Everyone who works there tends to be close with each other. I can't speak much on prestige or deal flow for either company, but if culture is important to you I would lean towards Solomon.
