I'm interested in Sovereign Advisory - but the top teams (Laz/Roths) appear to be based out of Paris, and require French fluency. Are there any opportunities for monolingual Brits on the Isles? I hear some BBs (JPM) have Sovereign Advisory teams, but appear to be exceptionally small and haven't been able to dig up much info.

Not really if you're not in Paris. Sometimes they'll run a single mandate or two in a different office, but I'm not sure how common that is. For example, Rothschild ran a Puerto Rico mandate out of New York.
I think some LATAM coverage groups may work on Latin American sovereign mandates.
