Sovereign Advisory Exits
Any ideas as to potential exit opportunities after a few years in sovereign advisory at one of the top player in the market (Rothschild, GSA, Lazard)?

Career Resources
Bump
A friend of mine that was at one of the places mentioned above is now advising the Nigerian prince and the nation’s treasury. They’ve had issues in the past with FDI, specifically due to email blasts circulated to foreign investors years ago. Many people thought these investment opportunities were scams. He got pretty lucky tho - pretty elite exit that resulted in a fair amount of turnover due to the e-mail scandal. Believe it is a career track seat with the possibly of becoming prince one day as well
So his exit is potentially becoming a prince? Sounds promising
sorry to bother but is it possible to DM you with some questions about Sovereign Advisory? Much appreciate!
Sovereign advisory is also in the USA, LATAM, EU, APAC. For example, Black Rock is advising the USA government once again and helping them sell their securities... so pay attention outside of France please because more opportunities outside too.
If you actually did transactions though likely you gave advice, you can try to get into banking so network and get financial modeling skills or learn to code. I know a guy who went to JP in sovereign risk, other people do coverage teams like at HSBC or a bulge bracket... or you can go into EM fixed income research but really study markets so you can see the investment trends... or you can go the IMF, WB. You could also work in sales in a rates team since you know sovereigns.
You can also go to graduate school so like top business schools (Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, INSEAD) or policy school (HKS, LES, Columbia SIPA).You can also go on to become a government advisor or central banker.
