Spirit Airlines trading <$12 (Throw Cash at it)
After flying Spirit almost exclusively for the cheap quick direct flights to see my lady twice a month last year. I thought to purchase some shares. Its not the “best” airline by any means but they have clearly defined a customer for themselves in the market. So for a few months now I have watched it trade around $40. The outbreak has caused it to dip like all the other airlines, but I am optimistic about its return to where it was before. Any thoughts?
I think you lost some money and you’re going to be disappointed waiting for a quick rebound that won’t materialize at the speed you hope
Not sure with Spirit, but with larger airlines such as AAL, the share price has dropped a lot. The government has saved them from bankruptcy before, so I think buying them cheap is a good move. Buffet just got $40mil of Delta I think
fuck Spirit airlines I hope they go to zero
Ok why so though?
terrible experience, they nickel and dime you for everything with hidden fees, terrible customer service, charged me $110 to cancel a $170 flight
Southwest is so much better for budget travel
It was and has been a good purchase!
Worked out well
You could’ve bought the SP500 at the same time and gotten a similar return with a fraction of the risk. I don’t really count that as a winner.
I can as long as I report it in advance and it's not on the restricted list
