Spring Week 2024 Thread
I haven't seen any thread about springs for this year so I thought I would start one.
What stages have people reached? Will the trackers make springs as competitive as SA applications this year?

Based on the most helpful WSO content, spring weeks can indeed be quite competitive. The competitiveness can vary depending on the region and the specific program you're applying to. It's also important to note that many firms do accept applicants on a rolling basis, so applying early could potentially ease the difficulty.
As for the trackers, it's hard to say for certain if they will make spring weeks as competitive as Summer Analyst applications this year. However, it's always a good idea to be prepared for a competitive process.
Remember, it's not just about getting in early, but also about making your application stand out. This could involve highlighting relevant experiences, joining finance-related societies, or even attending insight days to gain a better understanding of the industry.
Keep in mind that this is just general advice based on previous WSO threads. The specifics could vary depending on the firm and the region. Good luck with your applications!

There's a general trend of finance becoming more competitive and more people are becoming aware of spring weeks as banks are marketing to students as young as 16. Trackers have for sure made it more competitive since people are applying to more places and applying earlier (I think Bristol has an automated updating system?)
Have seen Lazard offers go out, most firms should be giving out offers around February.
Offers will be out in December-Jan. February is when emails regarding the schedules of the spring will be out.
Do offers tend to come all at once or in batches?
most come out in batches, for some banks all offers come out at once and I doubt there's a 'waitlist' really
Trackers have for sure made it a lot more competitive and I think the marketing from finance societies has definitely pushed a lot more applicants to apply this academic year. I’ve heard of multiple different trackers for different societies at universities. I think rothschild and Lazard will have given all offers by the end of December and with BB’s I believe some are receiving offers this week such as Bofa and MS. Rest will probably continue interviews after the xmas break
what are "trackers"? anyone have a link to one?
Also think it’s hard to compare with SA because conversions weren’t the best across the board and so a lot of those summer applicants are applying again for summers and completing a masters. Hence SA would probably be harder imo in comparison to spring weeks
Citi offers are out aswell as lazard
Any idea when MS IBD will come?
Think MS offers are out
GS offers are out I think
GS, MS, JP, Citi, BofA, Roths, Lazard are out.
Does JP Morgan send out rejections or they just keep quiet? My application is still « under review »
