S&T to Equity Capital Markets

I was wondering if anyone has had any experiences transitioning from S&T to equity/debt capital markets, and if this transition is any easier than to IBD coverage groups. I'm currently a junior at a non-target, and I will be interning in S&T at a top bulge bracket this summer, and although I'm definitely passionate about the markets, I don't want to pigeon-hole myself and could see myself loving a capital markets role as well. What do you guys think? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Don't know why u so interested in IBD coverage dpt. As far as I know, at S&T u get most paid and better balanced life-style.

Weeps may endure through the night, but joy cometh in the morning.
