Starting a family as an associate.

Just saw a thread about the constant long hours as high as VP level. I want to get married and start a family pretty soon, married as an analyst and kids as an associate. Would like to hear from women how they have navigated having a family with such terrible hours. Or what you have seen the women at your firm doing.
