State of new analysts — just quitting
I’ve been in my role for 1-2 months as a new 1st year at a BB and am already considering leaving. The mental and physical tolls this has taken are simply not worth it. Looking for advice or input from any other monkeys who are experiencing the same.
No job is worth your happiness and health. You only have one life.
Completely second the above. Reality is you are ridiculously qualified if you got this job, and will easily be able to get a new job. If you get into a dark place you can just up and quit and your career will 1000% be okay. Not to mention in this market you could pretty easily jump into a new grad role at many companies.
That said - if you are looking for a goalpost, making it to 6 months would be more helpful in the immediate job search.
