Stay in DCM or lateral to Lev Fin?
I want to break into the hedge fund industry and I am aware that I have no shot coming from DCM. If the opportunity is there after my summer internship, should I lateral to another firm for Lev Fin? The firm I will be at is top 10 for DCM and the one I have connections with is not top 10 for Lev Fin and is a Canadian bank. Any help would be great!

I don't understand. Are both banks Canadian and not in NYC? In any case, how is the DCM bank looking in terms of internal movement and how strong is their LevFin team?
The one I will be interning at is an American bank not in NYC. The one that I have connections with is a Canadian bank in NYC. The DCM bank also has their Lev Fin team not in NYC but it is very strong.
