Stern Agee IBD or Morgan Joseph TriArtisan IBD (Analyst role)
If given an analyst level offer, which IBD would you chose (for 1st year Analyst role)? I would love to hear from people who are familiar with both. Any one know which IBD is better in terms of deal flow, prestige, comp, growth, etc. Thank you.
I don't have too much to share on that front but, I definitely feel like I have seen Stern Agee on more covers than Morgan Joseph.
Stern. They bookrun stuff. not too sure about their M&A platform but I am sure they have some decent advisory deal flow as well. I have never seen Morgan Joseph on anything and I have worked within a variety of industries
Sterne. They're very active in the FIG industry.

What do you guys been by "cover", are you talking about dealbook? I heard some pretty good stuff about Morgan Joseph and Stern Agee both...Morgan Joseph just announced a deal with TGI fridays I believe...
The front covers of CIMs, prospectuses, etc.
The TGI Friday's news, I believe, is that they're potentially partnering with Sentinel Capital to buy out TGI...but that's their PE arm (TriArtisan Capital Partners) so I doubt that really affects the IBD too much (except perhaps they are advising on it).
I agree with others - I've seen SA around more often. One of my former banks lifted a team out of Morgan Joseph if that's any indication of how they are doing...
