Stifel Ib recruitment is bananas??

I’ve never had Ib experience or anything really similar to it. I graduated a few years ago and have worked non Ib roles. However I’ve been hit up a ridiculous amount of time by recruiters just from stifel about joining their IB team despite my lack of banking, modeling, and being older for an analyst. I’m not taking these interviews but I’m wondering what is going on this year!?

So I’m curious if anyone knows wtf is going on with this bank and the banking teams because this is bananas unless they have some grand plan about intentionally hiring people outside the banking scope.

I’m pretty sure they’re having a crazy run in league tables. Probably not only looking to fill seats from normal turnover, but looking to add seats to handle higher deal flow. In such a hot market for talent, that’s a tall order for any MM. just my thoughts.

So an update on this: I spoke with some buddies from school and other firms in different areas…they must be growing like crazy and there’s gotta be some mutual list cause a lot of people in my circle have been hit up by them. I hope people have a nice time switching to stifel, it sounds like a good thing now that I realize they’re making moves!
