When I was 22 I was just like you. Seeking the Internet for an anecdotal to make me feel better and motivate me to keep going. I eventually kept going, finding myself in the position I wanted to be. Although when I got there, I realized that being inspired by an antidotal was not the solution that got me there; it was by doing and being disciplined to keep going.

I’m now 26 no longer in IB, for the right reasons, and I look back and think that the thing that I was chasing and kept running from me was not the end destination.

My advice to you is this; keep going, but don’t be afraid to pivot. Sometimes the thing that didn’t work out was the right thing for you. This site may be contrary to my beliefs, but the worst thing is grinding for something, finally getting in and realizing that it’s just not for you. Be open to change, and don’t just chase something for the because everyone else is doing it.

After leaving IB, I’m doing something else much more entrepreneurial and making more money at 26. This may not be the advice that you wanna hear but be open to change and have balls to be different.

This is actually great advice. I have been thinking to switch to consulting but i have no clue how to break into consulting or what to specially target. It was definitely a thought I had but just don’t know how to go into
